We
came to know about the "East
Bay Marathi MandaL”
from website. The site is very very nice. We liked it. We support
your mission is to cherish & promote rich Maharashtrian Culture &
heritage.
Myself (Mr. Ravindra Lad - Radhika's father) working as a
Teacher in PCMC school In Pune & Mrs. Vidya Lad (Radhika's
Mother) is working in National Insurance Academy, Pune (India).
Our
daughter "Radhika" (Age - 8- studying in 3rd std.) has
written many poems (IN MARATHI), a book of which named "Dhaganchi
Bharli Shala" (i.e. SCHOOL OF CLOUDS) is published by Dr.
Madhusudan Ghanekar on May 28, 2005. This book contains 24 poems on
various subjects such as - Moon, Cow, Diwali Festival, Fairy,
Squirrel, Sun, Rain, Mother, Baby, Clouds, Rose etc.
Right from the 4th year of age, Miss Radhika has participated in
many Sahitya Sammelans, Cultural Programmes, Poetry Competitions
etc. She is recipient of "Bal-Bhushan Award", "Balkumar
Kala-Ratna Award", & "Kala-Gaurav Award" also.
She
has received first prize for her poems at the hands of Great Poets -
namely Mr. Mangesh Padgaonkar, Mr. Narayan Surve,
Mr. Gangadhar Mahambare. Well-known Scientist Shri Jayant
Naralikar, Prominent writer/poet Shri Pravin Davne
congratulated her for elegantly writing her observations in the form
of small poems and her supreme ability to express her observations
in perfect words.
For
her great attainment in the field of creative writing at such a
small age, a superb Article about Radhika (with full picture of
Cover Page and Last Page of the book- “Dhaganchi Bharli Shala”) and
